Art by JASHA SOYKA

Hello Gorgeous!

My name is Jasha Soyka. I am a motion designer, mixed media artist, perpetual traveler and creative nerd from Berlin. I make moving and visual art for your screens and walls - art that is full of life, colors, waves and overall very talkative. It tells stories about beauty, boldness, heartbreak, ponders complexities, seeks compassion. I portray humans that inspire me, draw curious creatures that put me in awe, and document the world around me, while traveling it with my iridescent family.

Growing up in Berlin, I have always been surrounded by art, music, activism, and a plethora of different communities. Being queer, born with disability, a child of migration, raised by a straight catholic & a gay atheist, and having experienced communism as well as capitalism, gave me access to many different worlds, ideas, experiences and perspectives. It made me endlessly curious, a passionate activist, cynically optimistic about the world, life and everything.

I was born 81 in Berlin, studied graphic design, audio engineering and animation, and worked as a designer/developer in sound, digital and print media. As an artist I have been exhibiting and selling my art, creating award-winning animations.

Since 2016 I travel the world with my wife & two kids, immersing myself in lifelong learning while working as a freelancer with creative people who appreciate the beauty and complexity of this world.
